Best birthday gift, EVER

Well, I was just playing on that CBG line, but it was a sweet birthday gift. Zoe and I were discussing whether he would get me the new David Bowie CD for my birthday or if I would prefer something else, and … Well, let me put it this way:

6 minutes before midnight, he purchased a copy of my novel (and a preMEum T-Shirt).

Sure, I reduced the markup to one cent for the guy, but I sold a published copy of my book to someone before I was 25, and I made money doing it. Hooray! This is the best birthday present I’ve received (or am likely to receive) this year! (Sorry, Laura; your gift was good, and even though with yours I GET a book and with his HE gets a book, his will be spoken about for years to come.)

I don’t know why I’m taking so long to post this. I just wanted to say thanks to Zoe.

Oh, and I’ll be changing the preMEum merchandise on Monday instead of the day before yesterday (Friday). Go wild.

  1. ToooooooDAY is Teel’s birthday, and I am here to say HEY! Happy happy birthday the On The Border way… OLE!

Now that that disgusting display is over with, next time you’re around I’ll take you to my restaurant for a meal as your birthday gift. And you can receive a traditional Mexican salsa bath in the OTB spa. Wait, no no, that’s not right at all…

  3. Alas, Nanda, you missed the special pre-release ‘please someone buy this book before I turn 25’ edition of Lost and Not Found. It was only available until I turned 25 (yesterday).

But there is good news. As soon as Cafepress gets their perfect bound publishing working, the final edition of my book will be available for purchase. Shortly thereafter, it will also be available for purchase as an audiobook, as well.

Unfortunately, this is dependant on Cafepress’ speed of getting the technology working. Perfect bound, by the way, means that it will look just like a trade paperback or other paperback book. But, that give me time to find a copy writer and a cover designer.

So, probably by the end of the year. Hopefully before NaNoWriMo kicks off again. I’ll keep you updated.

  5. So I signed up at EZLaptop so you should get your 2 points shortly. I was wondering how they would make there money but duh, advertisments. I think is cool though. I mean if I can get something just for getting a little more junk mail. Sounds great to me.
