Okay, it’s like… two weeks until the deadline… May 3rd… If Modern Evil doesn’t raise more than the $14.50 you guys (and thank you, those of you who donated or bought our merchndise) have already donated in the last 75 days or so, we’re doomed! Remember, guys, the goal is $300. $300 by May 3rd, or Modern Evil may go kaput.
I’m going to go over to my hosting provider’s website and see if I can’t postpone being deleted past that date, but … I wouldn’t count on it. Now, I know at least one person is planning on helping; Zuri bought a painting and any day now will pay for it. This will bring the total up to about $75. Which is a good start. But we really need the rest of you to start chipping in! If everyone who reads this site donated $1, we’d reach our goal! Isn’t Modern Evil worth $1? I think it is! I’ve put thousands of dollars into it over the years, and will be paying for additional fees out of my dwindling savings (as you may remember, I was laid off last October, which is why I don’t have the cash to pay for the whole bill outright), but for the bulk of the cost, I can’t afford it on my own.
I’ll email my host today and see if I can re-arrange things to extend the date of deletion at all, but I don’t know what will be able to be worked out on that front. What we really need now is a surge of donations or a couple of art-lovers to buy paintings, or commission paintings… Something.

Yeah, me too…but I just don’t want to deal with all the BS people are dishing out. I don’t need it. I wish LJ made a way for me to allow certain IPs to get to the friend’s only posts… Either that, or I can set you up a free account so you can login to see it all… 🙂
