“I decided the way I’m going to get my news from now on is by walking out front and looking down the street. If everything isn’t on fire, that’s good news.”
-Jeffrey Rowland, Overcompensating
Also, a numerology meme:
Your Expression Number is 8 |
Driven and ambitious, you have the potential to reach great things. You’re both good with money and good at getting things done quickly. You are an excellent leader and a great judge of character. Full of energy and confidence, you undertake projects that seem impossible. At times, you can be very materialistic – and obsessed with status and power. |
It is interesting (to me) to note that this result indicates to me that they are using Pythagorean numerology for their calculations. Some people get a different result (in my experience with it, a more accurate one) using Chaldean numerology. For example, using Chaldean numerology with the name on my birth certificate (Teel David McClanahan III) I am an Expression 22:
Your Expression Number is 22 |
Your number represents that of the master builder. This means you are capable of great accomplishment and handling large undertakings. You have unique qualities and a very unorthodox approach to problem solving. You dream big, of projects that will last for centuries. No doubt you’re different, and that can sometimes come off as eccentric. |
One of the programs I am (now and again; my main focus right now is a video game I am developing) working on is a numerology program for Mac OS X that generates a full reading in both systems AND has an easy-to-use and visually appealing interface. Because it’s relatively simple (compared to programming a video game) and uses a variety of programming skills on the back-end (database building and access, math, multiple interface design, printing controls, and if I can work it out, some Quartz graphics) that will help get me familiar with programming in Cocoa.
Hey, maybe I’ll work on that for a while this morning…
