a little emptier; the house

Yesterday after my father and I went to work, my grandfather took my grandmother up the hill to Pine. This morning my father and I loaded the truck with stuff so he could take it to them – they’ve moved back to Pine.

Grandmother’s been getting worse. A lot worse, mentally.

It’s all very depressing and upsetting and then there’s the complicated feeling of hoping she passes on soon…

and I haven’t been posting about the whole thing, and it looks like I’m still not saying much.

But … that’s something. Going on. In my life, my world. Significant and .. I’m somewhat allowed to post about it. So. 40% of the residents here on Monday are gone now.

Everything’s going to … … fine… fine…

  1. Hello. It really annoys me that I had to sign up with some service just to comment on your blog. Having said that, I find your thoughts interesting. I actually stumbled upon your blog by searching for anxiety related things since I have severe anxiety/panic problems. Anyway, I thought I’d mention that an herb, butterbur, has been shown recently to significantly reduce migraine headaches. You might also look into the herb feverfew. Also, unless you’re overweight, there are most definitely better natural remedies for anxiety than Relacore. Sorry these comments don’t relate to the current posting, but frankly I was reluctant to sign up to the Typekey thing and I’ve been reading your blog for a while. Take it easy and try not to overthink everything. 🙂

  3. Sure, fine, and SPAM comments streaming in, literally hundreds a day really annoy me. So, to prevent automated SPAM-spewing computers from being able to comment on my website, humans have to go through one extra step that checks to be sure they’re people.

Luckily for me, I don’t usually get migraines. I used to, years ago, and then a couple of weeks ago I had a really, really bad day, but I think those migraines were brought on by a reaction to food. I haven’t had one since. But I will certainly keep butterbur and feverfew in mind if they become regular again.

Also, I don’t take the more expensive (and containing a lot of extra ingredients) Relacore – though I am overweight. I just buy the cheapest on-sale bottles of Relora I can find. I’d prefer to just take straight magnolia bark, but I’ve found that it is more expensive than the relora unless I purchase it in bulk, as a loose powder. So, for now, relora works. It hasn’t had any weight-related effects for me at all, but I didn’t expect it to. It DOES relieve my stress and anxiety almost every time.

Glad to hear you find my thoughts interesting enough to keep reading. Unfortunately, I haven’t figured out how to stop thinking… which sounds pretty dumb, eh?
