Wake up call at stupid o’clock

I’m so tired right now, but if I go to bed now, I’ll wake up at stupid o’clock in the morning. This morning after the long, tiring day yesterday that ended so late at night, by body tried to wake up at around 5:25AM, all by itself. I was able to convince it to sleep until around 8AM, but this lack of sleep is threatening my health. Maybe I’ll go lay down and see if I can’t just sleep through until the sun comes up again.

OOH! There’s a good idea. A sleeping pill. When I take those to try to fall asleep, they don’t help with the falling asleep part, but they always seem to extend my sleep several hours past where it should be. So if I take one now and lay down, will I sleep through to a reasonable hour, or still wake up at dumb:thirty in the morning.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a clock with proper times on it? I can only find ones with numbers, none with “lunchtime” or “dumb:thirty” or just the day of the week, which are the sorts of times I tell naturally.

  1. Well, at fairs like that Tempe Arts thing we walked around giving each other pox last year, they usually have a person making “humorous” clocks like retiree clocks with all the numbers jumbled up at the bottom. (Should we be looking into a vaccine of some sort for that, in case Iraq gets ahold of too many Pox units on the black market?) The problem with those, of course, is it still tells time using the 12 hour cycle all other analog clocks seem to. I think the problem with you looking for a clock that fits your needs is the only one in existence calls your insides home.

But if I find one, I will pick it up for you for the next appropriate occasion to give you a gift.

  3. Well I think you have an excellent idea for a new produce. A clock with several alarms that can each play a recorded message. QUICK GET A PATENT!!! The technology exists and it should no be too hard to build, get built. I think they would sell very well.
